Notable matters & judgments

The office that signs the orders

The commission's rulings issue 'by order of the Chairperson' over the Commission Secretary's signature. She signed the 8 October 2026 ruling closing the hearing of Witness S, which condoned the evidence leaders' late application, barred publication of the witness's identity or occupation, and confined attendance to the bench, the evidence leaders, the commission's attorneys and three commission officials, herself among them.

Directed to lay the charge against Khan

On 28 September 2026 the chairperson directed her, as Secretary, to lay criminal charges against Major-General Feroz Khan over his failure to attend in answer to a subpoena. The direction is an administrative step by the commission, not a finding; Khan is presumed innocent.
